Our Trip To Marriagehood

Last August 11, 2017 I married the man of my dreams. The man I can say God has given me. Everything has its own time, it may not be now or later, but know that it will come in God's perfect timing.
I titled this blog trip to marriagehood and I can say that it is the start of our long journey ahead as husband and wife. It's been 55 days since we got married, honeymoon stage as what we call it. We've been living together since March of the same year. It is a huge step for me leaving my country to pursue our relationship and for the both us seems like a leap of faith as well. We vow to a lifetime commitment is another thing. Not all relationships are perfect, not all the time it is romance and butterflies. Relationship is something both individuals commit to build, take care and make sure to flourish it with understanding, love and affection. It is a work hand in hand kind of a thing. There are days that we struggle and we both agree that it is one the part in a relationship as you understand the differences and the common things on both side, it also grows and it becomes deeply rooted. We have more good days that we enjoyed, glad my hubby is an out going all out human being. We're getting to know each other in all aspect, as an individual and as a couple.
Our marriage is another way to get to know all those flaws and shortcomings, so we can meet half way. Get to know each other's strong points and continue to push and encourage that. Accept all the facts about what we are before, now and love the person we will become in the future. It is like witnessing it in front seat row. Me and my husband agreed, made sure and wanted to witness that until the ends of the earth. That's where the vow will come in. I know that we still have many years ahead of us, there will be more ups and downs but it will not be the reason or there will be no reason to give up what we both promise with each other as we said, "I DO".  I know deep down my heart I will forever be his support, warmth and his home while we are here on earth and he said the same thing for assurance. Let me en quote this from Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Looks like we're stuck with each other and that's a good thing!

We decided to do a civil wedding since we are planning to do a huge wedding in my home country, Philippines. All my family and friends are back there so we both agreed to do that perhaps next year or most probably 2019. Nicholas' family and a couple of friends will also go with us for the big event. I do want to fulfill my parent's wish at least for this one.

I made a video of our wedding for my youtube channel. Nothing fancy, it is just a simple civil wedding, yet it is the most important day of our lives. We are so thankful to our friend Joe for being there and taking photos and video for us. It was the best day ever!
