Trip to Kearney, Nebraska

Hello Folks!
I'm back again to share my trip to Nick's hometown City of Kearney. It takes 3 hours to get to Kearney from Omaha and at least 3 hours flight from Sanford, Orlando to Omaha. Well its worth every travelling time and thank you to Allegiant Air for giving a nice or affordable plane ticket. Without them we wont be able to go to places that will never put holes in our pockets.

This is actually a late blog about my 2nd trip to Nebraska. Late Easter post with Doc's family (brother didn't come down and stayed in Colorado) it's pretty much me, nick, mom and dad Muthart for Easter and of course Molly. Since its my first Easter we celebrated it with Mama Muthart's sister and family at Orleans which is like an hour drive from their place.

The day will not be completed without any cheesiness from yours truly. It was a good day to hangout by the lake and enjoy the sun. Yep that's their lake.

The Mutharts has their own lake in their backyard. They don't want neighbors too close. Me and nick went for a cool ride with the four wheel, which I've been screaming like crazy. I don't have any photos, but we ride at the paddle boat to watch the sunset and it was the most beautiful thing you can ever experience, aside from mosquito bites and chances of getting chase by a geese.

Food is everything for me and food during Easter event is a lot which I cannot fit into my belly, even if its tasty and delicious. They made a bunch of good stuff. One thing that I am thankful for is that they like me for Nick. That's the hard part, first impression last especially meeting the family and to my surprise when a family likes you? They pretty welcoming and great to share stories with. I love them!

People in Nebraska are so kind and very hospitable. Aside from the cold weather I enjoyed my time there. Nick showed me where they lived before, his school and church. That Easter Sunday fellowship was amazing. Meeting people that knows Nick, I agree he is a good catch and a keeper. What can I ask more? When I have everything I need, like all of it in one man?!
He is the bestest!

This is Mama Muthart and Dad Muthart (Molly, their cute little hound dog). They're like my second mom and dad while I'm here in the US and they are the nicest people I've ever met. We've known each other since 2014 from the cruise ship and even takes a long time, we manage to see each other again and the best part of it is they give me an approval to date their wonderful son Nick. I've always thank God for that blessed day. It will always be the best story I will keep for the rest of my life.

I will always be grateful for these wonderful people, they change the course of my life. My family is bigger now. All of them made it more happier and meaningful. I have two parents who loves me, brothers who are way cooler than me, a lovely young baby sister that will become part of the family soon and last but will never be the least, my Nicholas who made the world different for me. Thank you God for these people in my lives and for the adventures ahead of us.

See you on the next trip here in ourlittlewanderlust blog! Ciao!

A Trip to Pangasinan Day 2

The highlight of this trip is of course the number 1 attraction of the town, Pangasinan's Pride 100 Islands, I mean there's much a lot to see in this place, but these is most visited. Pangasinan is still untouched, rural area which hopefully it will stay that way. Our hotel is actually just in front of the islands 👉 Island Tropic Hotel and Restaurant. It's convenient and not bad for family or group of people who wanted to do a getaway. The price is just right, aside from that they offer a day tour and overnight tour for the islands. Reminder: Renting a boat depends on the numbers of people. There's 7 of us so we have the medium boat that cost us $36 then aside from that we pay the environmental fee of $8 and a separate payment of $2 for the life jacket which is needed if ever you want to do cliff diving.

There's a certain route the boater go to for the trip unless you request to go to each island if you want to see all 100s of them.

This is the first island we visit. To see the entire 100 island and a photo op we have to climb up and it will take you at least 5-10 minutes to reach the top. A little photo with the family.

We're in the top of the Governor's Island. You can see well most of the islands from there and this is the firs stop of your photo session.

A never to miss out photo of me and my boyfriend. It is the start of more of adventures.

Aside from going to the top of the island There's also a cave just below it.
My two brothers checking it out.
It is pretty amazing (except my post)!

There's a floating bridge you can cross to another island from the Governor's island.

That's the island near the Governor's which I forgot the name of it (sorry).

One of the best thing about the islands you can relax and enjoy other activities as well. Go swimming and enjoy the sun.

My dad and Ryza enjoying the cool, clear waters.

This is in Marcos Island. Embrace your fear of heights and try cliff diving inside the cave.
This is one of their new water activities just by the middle of the islands you can pay $8 to see the giant clams and swim with the fishes.
I can guarantee you that it is like walking in a park only under water.

A little photo op on another island call Cuenco Island. Usually this is the last island you'll visit before ending  the day tour. You can never get wrong on this place.  So come and visit Pangasinan here in Philippines. Add it to your travel bucket list and I can guarantee you'll enjoy what this little hometown can offer.

You can check out some few videos from other travel blogger about this place and I choose my top 3! Just click the link below 👇👇👇👇

Dad's Hometown: A Trip to Pangasinan Day 1

The family decided to take my boyfriend to Pangasinan, My dad's hometown. It is home of the famous Philippine's One Hundred Islands, which I'll post on the next blog together with some few videos I made. It is 6 hours road trip and we stayed for 2 Nights at the Island Tropic Hotel and Restaurant. Just click the links here for more information the hotel is just near the islands. Pangasinan have loads of good hotels and house that you can check at AIRBNB, since it is summer vacation most of them are already fully booked. But for those who wants convenience I can suggest this hotel. Going back, we didn't go straight to the hotel instead we went to visit Grandma. For Filipino culture it is important to visit the relatives and introduce my partner to my Dad's mother, uncle and his wife. It was good to catch up and just rest after a long ride.

This our family at my Dad's side.

Our dramatic pose as always. My brothers are always on the go with this kind of stuff. I'm seeing more adventures with these two and thats for sure.

Nick is trying to push me to the cliff! Love him to the ends of the earth! One thing that is good about him is that he is also on the go and funny. He knows my trip, which a must have!
I made a video for the day 1 in Pangasinan. My grandma's farm is pretty much here in the video. It is a huge land, I'm thinking of a nice rest house there someday. Since it is near the beach.

Next post will be our trip to 100 islands.

Thank you for reading and watching.

Ivy

When Nick Met Ivy and Vice Versa

The long weekend comes to an end and the time I had with Nick was a blast. So here's a short story about meeting him for the first time and expect that I'll be posting our mini get away in the Philippines after this blog.

Say hello to Nick! Let me tell some few things about him:

Nick or Nicholas was of course american born in Nebraska and currently now living in Florida. He is a Chiropractor and have his own clinic in Vero Beach, Florida. I met him through his parents about 4 years ago on a cruise ship where I used to work. Her mother introduce me to him and we became friends and now lovers which took us a long way to become one. We have to wait and pray about it, which I can say an answered prayer. We've been friends during those years and decided to pursue each other after. We both know that the timing is right and I cannot say no when he asked me nicely to have a relationship with him. We planned on meeting after our relationship got official. But due to my work it is a little bit complicated to meet half way so Nick decided to visit me in the Philippines for a vacation and to meet my family as well. Which of course a part of much bigger plan for the two of us.

He arrived last March 17 about 1:30 AM. I arrived on time, but the flight was delayed so I've waited for him nervously when he called me that he is almost done with the customs. A lot of things going on my head mainly "what if he didn't like me at all?" kind of thing. You know that sudden feeling of panic? I cannot guarantee myself about it!
He called me on my phone, because he cannot find me at the arrival lobby. But I already saw him. That is the first time I laid my eyes on him and we cannot hide that both of us are nervous, shaking as we hugged each other. He smelled really good and the usual airplane kind of smell when imported goods arrived. Anyways, the first thing I told him was not don't be nervous, because I don't bite to break the ice and kill the tension between us. He was a delight view indeed! It was the happiest day for the two of us and finally being with him is way different, but good differen. I feel more happier and complete. It is like the search is over and I'm with this man which I never expected. It is true that it is good to start as friends. I do like him before, however God says it is not yet our time. After 3 years and both of us are single we felt that  we wanted to pursue a relationship, both of us know that we wanted to be together. I can guarantee you that there's no red flag. Both our parents approve our relationship and we are so looking forward to the growth of it. It is good to talk about your intention to each other and letting the other half what your plans about the relationship. That's what we did!

We totally hit it off and so far we're doing okay. We both know it will never be easy, but that's okay it's a work in progress and we both stuck with each other! What more can I say?! I love this guy!

Watch out for my next blog.

Nick's Trip to the Philippines (Coming Soon)

Watch out for the upcoming blog about Nick's adventure here in the Philippines. Meeting the family, trying local filipino cuisines, seeing 100 islands in Pangasinan and of course 3 day trip in Boracay like it's a thing for foreigners that they have to visit Boracay in their itinerary. Showing and sharing filipino culture to my partner is very excited for me. I cannot wait for his commentary, his reaction and whatever he can say about everything. So watch out for it!

Love you folks!
